South Canterbury Pottery Group are located at 17 White Street, Timaru.
We have a large workroom, glaze store, kiln room, and a lounge area.
The workroom boasts 6 electric wheels, plenty of table space, an extruder, and a slab roller. The club has three electric kilns.
Pots from some well known potters are on view and there is a small library of pottery books available for members to borrow.
Activities
The club holds workshops and club days at which members can learn new techniques or develop existing skills. We stage Raku firings annually and run specialist Master-classes with NZ potters.
We hold an annual exhibition each year at the Aigantighe Art Gallery. This gives us an opportunity to showcase and sell our best works to the public.
Administration
The SCPG committee meets at the club rooms in the evening of the second Thursday in the month. All members are invited to attend.
